I am Salim, my father and I enjoy having visitors from all over the world. It gives me the ability to learn about other cultures and other people’s mindsets. I am the host of a podcast called Qafeer. I have a passion for vocals. We will talk more when you arrive.

After introducing you to my family, Fwala is our welcoming snack, that is fruits along with omani dates and coffee served on the floor. After that we will chat for a while and get to know each other, typical omani conversation would be around the weather, sport, any recent trending topics locally or internationally, feel free to ask me anything!

Starter:

Mix Sambosa and mix salad: Sambosa is originally an Indian dish, we’ve tweaked it a bit. It is rectangular dough stuffed with meat, veg or chicken, served with a special sauce.

Main Course:

Tqlyah: Fresh local meat cut in cubes marinated with garlic and species served with rice or bread, usually topped with honey

Dessert:

Basbosa: Traditional Middle Eastern sweet cake semolina batter and sweetened with syrup

    I am so glad we did this. It was the best thing we did on our visit to Oman. It wasn’t about the food (although it was delicious and interesting), it was about meeting a wonderful local family who welcomed us graciously into their home. We talked and shared about our cultures and our countries and it was a remarkable experience. I highly recommend it. added bonus was a tour our driver Hammad gave us after on our way back to our hotel. Worth every penny. Wish I had time to do a cooking class too.
